Vegan Restaurants & Food in Kansas City

So about this vegan life!!

Veganism has been a wonderful and enlightening journey for me. I can't say enough about the benefits, the way my body feels, and the wonderful stories I've heard and connections I've made because of it.

First I'm going to start with Minsky's Pizza. Yes, Minskys!! My son wanted some pizza from Minsky's. I happen to search their menus for vegan options and lo and behold they have a veggie pizza that you can have prepared without cheese OR add daiya non dairy mozzarella cheese to it. Let me tell you how delish this ways. It was way better than I'd imagined that it would be.

Another good pizza spot is located in the Legends. They have the most amazing rosemary crust and delicious veggie ingredients. It's similar to Pie Five, but I personally think its better.

Pizza Studio

If you look at my timeline you'll understand that there isn't much that I won't or don't eat from these next two places.

Cafe Gratitude

and the next place on my favorite list is

Fud (pronounced food)

I spent a lot of time pronouncing this the wrong way which is why I took that time to include the pronunciation. Thanks to the barista at Mud Pie for setting me straight.  PS. Mud Pie sells their sandwiches.  They have so many wonderful options on their menu but my hands down favorite thing to get is their vanilla shake. It's simply delicious and I do not miss normal shakes when I'm drinking this.

Their nachos.... (where is the heart eyes emoji when I need it).

Their brownies...(sorry, I just drooled a little bit).

Which leads me to my next vegan spot.

Mud Pie

Mud Pie is located on 39th street in KCMO. They have amazing baked goods.

My all time favorite bakery item is the pumpkin sheet cake. I'll just say that its better than many non vegan pumpkin cakes.

Eden Valley

Trader Joes

Trader Joe's has some of the best vegan frozen entrees that you will ever have. It's really hard to choose a favorite, but you can check out my post here and see some of the snack items I snagged below.

Urban Cafe

Urban Cafe is located off Troost and has great chickpea tacos. Plus, I love the store of the couple that owns both the beauty salon and connected restaurant within the inner city. There's a little something for everybody there and my son (not vegan) absolutely loved his brisket sandwich.

Delicious chickpea tacos. #veganlife

KC Taco Company

KC Taco Company located in Riverside has wonderful Portobella Mushroom Tacos. I would go at least once a week because they were just that good. Even if I was trying to stick to a budget, once a week a KC Taco Company was worth it.

Check back for even more updates. I hope you enjoyed some of these spots and don't forget to check out Vegan Items at Trader Joes For Beginners.
