I’m not meant to be silent…
How many of you know that a journey of a thousand miles starts with one step? Over the past year I’d been challenging myself to be more open to speaking more and guess what…I have. It’s always good to focus on your strengths vs trying to build your weaknesses but this was one area of my life that I couldn’t continue to allow to stay the same.

It’s time to speak up about things you don’t feel comfortable about. It’s time to stretch yourself beyond your comfort zone and its time to get rid of the nice girl image and refuse to be silent. Use wisdom in all things but life is too short to care and not tell someone, to dream and not push yourself to achieve it, and to feel as if you are stuck and not do anything about it.
If you are ready for change, If you are ready for a shift it starts with refusing to remain the same.

This post is inspired by Tori Kelly’s song, “Silent” (video below)
Now Tori talks about moving from a place in her song, but sometimes that place isn’t a physical location but its a mindset. Decide that there’s nothing left for you if you stick around in that same place and space in time.
2 Corinthians 8:11 –11 Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have.
I’m ready now, it’s time
And leave my fear behind
My dreams are loud and my heart’s wide awake
And all I know is I’m not meant to be silent
