Morning Routines of Successful Women are…
- Purposeful in that each day after completing this routine you feel empowered and motivated. Not just for yourself but you have enough to give to others.
- Effective in that it accomplishes what you set out for it to accomplish in your life and for each day. This could be a number of different things.
- Has lasting benefits that benefit your life and even if you modify it as things change or as you grow, you’ll still want to continue.
Let’s talk Purpose
Ready to start a new morning routine? Well let’s get started by starting with the end in mind. What would you like to get out of your morning routine? Knowing what you want out of your morning routine is important, otherwise you’re just depriving yourself of sleep. And frankly, I’m not interested in passing up good sleep unless there is a purpose for it.
Is it clarity each day? I tend to juggle several appointments and tasks throughout the day. Outside of blogging and being a mother, I work full-time in my community, volunteer in my church home as well as being an adjunct professor at a community college. I know I’m not alone in that most women carry multiple roles rather that be CEO, full-time employee, wife, mother, friend, and the list goes on. I like to use the beginning of my day to map out my appointments, what I need or may need at each meeting and what I would like to accomplish. By doing this each morning and even weekly my days are much more manageable.
Not only that, but when I start my days with the end in mind, I have so much more advice that I can offer others. I’m able to think clearly which means my mind is not in survival mode but it’s in strategy mode and I’m also able to enjoy the day as well. It so much easier to make great connections in that mind space.
How can you make it Effective?
Allow yourself the opportunity to get your thoughts organized based on that tasks that you want to achieve that day. If you can achieve the things you set out to do with a little morning planning then you are already well on your way to having an effective morning routine. Think about writing a list of the 3-5 things you want to accomplish that day. Also think about your longer goals and how implementing a piece of that plan each day can help you accomplish it. Take the time to write it down and build from there.
One of my long term goals is detoxifying my body. I’m sure I can accomplish this within a week or month at most with one of the cleansing teas or treatments on the market right now. I’m looking for something that is sustainable and healthy for my body long term. So while, I may begin with using a tea or detox treatment, I want to continue each morning with lemon water in order to flush and cleanse my digestive system on a regular basis. The benefits of this: toxins have a way of slowing down your body. And while we come across toxins in various forms, we don’t always have a counter measure in place to keep the toxins from having lasting effects. This simple piece added to my morning routine will help me accomplish that long term goal.

It will become not just an activity but a way of life for you. You will be better because of it and people will try to figure out just how you do it all. Although, your superwoman cape is on standby, you will only need it for special occasions.
