vegan beauty and personal care
Special thanks to Swipes for not only sponsoring this post, but creating an amazing product with women, animals and the environment in mind. All thoughts are my own.

Moving toward a plant based diet was a no-brainer once I looked at the benefits. Not only could I see how this decision would directly affect my personal health and life quality, but I could also see how this decision would impact the environment, animal welfare and ultimately the greater good. Nonetheless, maintaining this lifestyle is NOT always easy. I’m constantly being put in a situations where I have to make conscious decisions on what products to use that are both good for my body, benefits animal welfare and the environment.

This is why I’m so thankful for natural products that are literally changing the way we can become responsible as consumers. So in homage to those leaders in their respective industries, I’ve put together a list of my favorite vegan personal care and beauty products. These are products and brands that are striving to be the conscious about the wellbeing of our future. While, this is by no means an exhaustive list, they are a few of my favs at this time.

Without further adieu, here are some of the vegan personal care and beauty products that I absolutely adore.

My first vegan personal care product is Swipes’ Lovin Wipes. These wipes are not only the perfect product for your intimate moments and your intimate places, but the additional benefits are simply amazing. Here are just a few reasons, you’ll love them just as much as I do.

They are:

  • vegan (cruelty free),
  • made of natural and safe ingredients
  • flushable and disposable,
  • ph-balanced,
  • paraben and chlorine free,
  • and sewer and septic safe.

Swipes has also graciously offered to allow my readers an opportunity to try their product for free. Enter into the giveaway below for your chance to be one of three readers randomly chosen to receive Swipes’ Cucumber scent in the mail. Also, the product can accommodate any on-the-go lifestyle. Use them after intimate moments, after yoga, before a wax session, to remove makeup or any time you want to freshen up. You can currently find them at these stores; Target, Whole Foods, Walmart and Walgreens.

Next up is Kat Von D who recently introduced us to their studded lipstick line. I was actually one of the first to try it and not only is the pigment great but the lipstick is moisturizing while being matte. Plus, I don’t know if you’re into lipsticks with a scent but this once smells so good. It smells like cocoa butter and makes me feel all cozy wearing it. It’s like I’ve just finished a long soak in the tub and finished applying some whipped cocoa butter before bed.

A lot of people ask me what I like to use for deodorant. I absolutely love Schmidt’s Deodorant in the Rose-Vanilla scent. My cousin in love introduced me to it a while back and I haven’t used anything else since that time. The scent is soft and sweet and it actually works on me. You can find it at many natural grocery stores or purchase here as well.

I cannot forget about E.L.F. Cosmetics. The entire line is vegan and has not been test on animals. Two of my favorites right now are the lip exfoliant and the face primer. I don’t use the face primer everyday because I don’t wear foundation every day. However, when I want to look amazing, I apply this prior to my foundation and I always get compliments on how amazing my skin is (haha). It literally looks so smooth and beautiful that you don’t know I have on makeup.

Last but not least… Tom’s of Maine toothpaste. I really like Tom’s because I feel like it does the job. The particulate one I have is antiplaque plus whitening, fluoride free, with no artificial dyes or sweetners.  If you know of any great natural toothpaste brands that you love, let me know.

I hope this provided you with a few vegan product options to try in the future. If you have some of your own favorite vegan personal care or beauty products that you’d like to share or have heard about, please do share in the comments. Sharing is definitely caring!

  1. I certainly like all of what it isn’t or what isn’t in the products. Swipes has really gone all out to make products that really are good for the skin and environment.

  2. One of my nieces is vegan and I know she’s always looking for make up that is vegan! I’m going to tell her about these because I think she would love them.

  3. Sounds like some great products worth checking out. I haven’t ever really thought of vegan products before, but it’s a great idea.

  4. I remember the buzz last year when E.L.F. announced they were adding more vegan products to their product lineup. As if I needed another reason to love them. I haven’t heard of Swipes but I am all for eco friendly products that do the job.

  5. I’ve made a promise to myself to support and switch to cruelty free products and it’s been working so well. I love that they’re vegan and eco-friendly as well. It just feels so much better that you’re using products that aren’t just good for your skin but good for nature too! This is such a good list!

  6. I’ve been slowly shifting from the usual beauty products to cruelty-free, all natural ones. They feel better on your skin especially since they don’t have any chemicals at all!

  7. Even though I’m not vegan, I’m used to buying for a family member who is. She has a Birthday coming up and I need to buy a handful of these to make her a gift basket. She only uses plant based products.

  8. I am a huge fan of Schmidt deodorant. I love that they are all natural and their deodorants are fantastic. I’ll have to check out the other products you mentioned.

  9. Next month will make it a year since Ive adapted to a plant based diet. I’m trying to get into using more vegan products (aside from just food). Thanks for sharing!
