Countdown To Christmas

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Saturday Night! Hot Chocolate topped with Whipped Cream and Peppermint Bark plus Celebration Sugar Cookies!

Never mind the processed sugar, extra calories or sugar high that may keep us up half of the night… Its our countdown to Christmas! <–yes, I actually screamed that last line.

The kid and I decided to have hot chocolate tonight and we decided the perfect topping to it besides the whip cream would be pieces of Peppermint Bark by Crafters & Co. Let me tell you, it was beyond delicious. I also took 1/4 of the bar and melted it and put it into the hot chocolate. The last half of the peppermint bark I’m saving to nibble on later. I wish I would’ve purchased more. We drunk our hot chocolate while our new Cinnamon Candle burned and filled our home with a sweet fragrance.

We weren’t able to finish all of the cookies, but the rest we will ration out taking two a day for a snack at lunch 🙂

As I blew out the candle that filled our home (still high on sugar of course), I thought about the things that I’m thankful for. When you think your life is rough, just think about all the things that make your life better. Many times its a simple waking up one more day. Hallmark truly captures the spirit of each holiday, the love that fills it, and all the great things in between. The card I got for my mother captures the true simplicity and heartfelt love between a mother and daughter.

There is a Hallmark slogan that says, “Life is a special occasion” and I truly believe that every day should be looked at as a special occasion and today we definitely celebrated.
